<TITLE>02. Par 4-5</TITLE>L-4 The way I want to talk just a little so that I know the Holy Spirit is present before we go to praying for the sick. I'm sure you'll bear with me a little while. It's hot in here tonight. But it is much better than it has been, and we thank the Lord for that. And I pray that the cool wave will come so we can just have a glorious time in closing of these services.
Now, in the gospel according to Saint Luke the 2nd chapter, I want to read a portion of the 25th and 26th verses. And I think it goes on down quite a few verses here I wish to read. But beginning at the 25th verse.
And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon;... the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought... the child Jesus, to do for him as the custom of the law,
Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Lord, now, letteth thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
For my eyes have seen thou salvation,
Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
A light to... the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
And Joseph and his mother marvelled at these things which was spoken unto them.
And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; for a sign which shall be spoken against;
(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) and the thought of many hearts may be revealed.
And there was one Ann, a prophetess, and that... of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;
She--and she was a widow of about threescore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
She coming in at that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

L-5 May the Lord add His blessings to the reading of this Word. It seemingly... It wouldn't be a very appropriate Scripture to read on a night of praying for the sick. But let's take just a thought just for a few moments.
As I know, setting here tonight, we're bound to be mixed up audience of Methodists and Baptists and whatmore. But we're all in Christ Jesus, the One loving Holy Spirit, Who brings the seed.
Now, and some peoples comes to the meeting sincerely, some wants to look and curiosity... God called Moses to have a little curiosity one time to turn aside and see why a bush didn't burn down. He caught him. So maybe... I hope the bush gets afire tonight, and someone looks and sees that God is in His burning bush.
